The North Georgia Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) provides free tax law services to low-income people. We provide effective, compassionate service to those in need and conduct educational outreach activities to inform taxpayers about their rights and responsibilities in order to help better our community, our state, and our country.
Problems with the IRS can be complex and intimidating, and they can lead to a variety of consequences from lost refunds to garnished wages. The North Georgia LITC helps its clients navigate a variety of tax controversy matters.
Generally, we do not assist in the preparation of tax returns or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) applications.
