On May 21 and 22, the North Georgia LITC hosted a virtual pro bono settlement day in conjunction with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Atlanta to assist low income taxpayers with cases before the United States Tax Court. This event was the second of its kind in the nation and helped us settle or make significant progress on several of our clients’ cases. Based on the success of this event, additional virtual settlement days may be scheduled in the coming months.
